THINGS OVERLOOKED / PAPER CLIP
A simple piece of galvanised steel wire bent into an elongated spiral helps keep papers together and in the right order. However, the paper clip has many uses. These include lock picking and SIM card removal. During the 1940’s it was even worn on the lapel as a symbol of resistance to the Nazi occupation.
A claim that the Norwegian, Johan Vaaler, invented the original clip is unfounded but it has subsequently become a national myth.

PAPER CLIP CUT OUT
This image measures 755mm x 200mm and is mounted on a 2mm thick non reflective acrylic sheet . This is supported on three 15mm deep x 8mm diameter circular pegs which spaces it away from the wall surface. It hangs from two D rings behind the upper curve so that the support system is a minimal as possible. This gives the impression that the clip is floating on the wall.
