BANK DOORS

The setting for these bank doors is somewhat grand. The thin glazing bars on the many windows and the portico around the door are finely detailed with strong references to regency design. The shallow canopy with a carefully crafted name plate is topped by a delicate finial giving an air of elegance. These details help to suggest that the bank is a refined establishment with a long history.

This image is further developed by the traditional construction of the door. Its robust framework and strong infill panels  reconfirms the link with the past and implies a sense of tradition and perhaps permanence. These doors are, however, clad in modern stainless steel which glimmers in the daylight and emphasises the banks image of solidity and security.
