THINGS OVERLOOKED / PLASTER
The Sticking Plaster provides instant access to a dressing that is sterile and absorbent. The tape has to be flexible enough to wrap around a finger, yet strong enough to withstand daily wear and tear. It also has to be waterproof and breathable. The adhesive has to stay in place when needed, yet peel off easily when no longer required.
Ikea stocks red, vivid green and black plasters and there are clear versions with white or beige dressings. Although 80% of the world population are not white, I can only find one company who make plasters to match black and other ethnic skin tones.
