THINGS OVERLOOKED / PAPER CLIP
A simple piece of galvanised steel wire bent into an elongated spiral helps keep papers together and in the right order. However, the paper clip has many uses. These include lock picking and SIM card removal ! During the 1940’s it was even worn on the lapel as a symbol of resistance to the Nazi occupation. More recently Prada, the fashion house, has launched a 6cm long silver paperclip, selling for £145 as a money clip.
A claim that the Norwegian, Johan Vaaler, invented the original clip is unfounded, but it has subsequently become a national myth.

2] 1130mm x 290mm at £240.00. Both are mounted on a 2mm thick transparent plastic sheet. The piece hangs a keyhole plate behind the upper curve which holds the clip flush on the wall surface.
